End of Summer Bracelet
End of Summer Bracelet
This one-of-a-kind bracelet is an homage to the beauty of Illinois at Summer's end (complete with an ear of corn, and some rain, of course). The little ladybug is constructed so that she spins - all the while gazing at a tiny moonstone standing in for a drop of dew. The raindrop is an aventurine, the sun above hydrangea blossoms from my garden is a chalcedony, and a garnet and lab grown ruby add a splash of color to the final link. The clasp is a tension pin with a teensy wire to keep it attached to the bracelet so you'll never lose it. This art-to-wear measures 7 inches which means it will comfortably fit a wrist 6.5 inches or smaller. You can find your wrist measurement but wrapping a measuring tape around your wrist at the wrist bone, or you can wrap a piece of string, mark where it meets, and measure that.
